The Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line, the operator's Line 13, opened on 14 June 2008 and sits at the centre of one of the Tokyo area's largest through-running networks. From its opening, trains ran through at the northern end onto the Tobu Tojo Line and, via the Seibu Yurakucho Line, the Seibu Ikebukuro Line. The network was completed at the southern end on 16 March 2013, when through-running began with the Tokyu Toyoko Line and continued onto the Yokohama Minatomirai Railway's Minatomirai Line to Motomachi-Chukagai. This joined four private operators and Tokyo Metro into a single corridor from Saitama through central Tokyo to Yokohama. The arrangement was extended again on 18 March 2023, adding direct service toward the Sotetsu network via the new Shin-Yokohama lines.
