History
Hama-Koshimizu Station opened on 10 November 1925 as Furutoi Station (古樋駅) on what is now the Senmō Main Line, serving the village of Koshimizu, Hokkaidō. It was renamed Hama-Koshimizu on 15 November 1952 to reflect its proximity to the beach at central Koshimizu. Operation passed from Japanese National Railways to JR Hokkaido at the 1 April 1987 privatisation. The station has two side platforms serving two tracks, is unstaffed, and carries the line number B74. It lies on Route 244 between Higashi-Kushiro and Abashiri, with an Abashiri Bus stop "Hama-Koshimizu Eki-mae" out the front.
