History
Shiseikan-shōgakkō-mae Stop (SC22) is on the Sapporo Streetcar Yamahana Line in Chūō-ku, Sapporo, east of the Minami-4-jō-dōri/Nishi-7-chōme-dōri intersection. It opened in August 1923 as Nishi-Sōsei-gakkō-mae Stop, was renamed Sōsei-gakkō-mae on 1 November 1965, Sōsei-shōgakkō-mae on 1 November 1982 and Shiseikan-shōgakkō-mae on 1 April 2004. The Susukino-bound section was given centre-pole catenary on 20 December 1994, the stop number SC22 was assigned on 1 April 2015, and a March 2017 renovation raised the platforms and added new shelters and ramps. The Shiseikan (Nishi-Sōsei) sub-name was added on 29 March 2012.

The Shiseikan ("foster-and-nurture") name comes from the elementary school next door — and that school's building also houses Shiseikan Kindergarten, the Sapporo Child-rearing Support Centre and Seiyūkan Junior High School, all under the same roof.
