History
Nakanoshima Station opened on 16 December 1971 with the inaugural Kita-Nijūyo-Jō-to-Makomanai stretch of the Sapporo Municipal Subway's Namboku Line. It is the northernmost Toyohira-ku station on the line, with the next stop, Horohira-Bashi, lying across the Toyohira River in Chūō-ku. The two opposed side platforms connect directly to the ticket gates without a separate concourse; the platforms are linked beneath the tracks by an internal passage. Lifts were installed on the 2-platform side first, with a second lift added on the 1-platform side in July 2011. Platform-edge doors were activated on 8 December 2012, and a sub-name 'Exeo Group Mae' was added on 1 June 2025.
