History
Hibarigaoka Station, station T18 on the Sapporo Municipal Subway Tōzai Line, opened on 1982-03-21 with the line's extension from Shiroishi to Shin-Sapporo. Its name was chosen by public competition, after the nearby Hibarigaoka housing development. Two depot access tracks for the East Rolling Stock Base diverge at the Shin-Sapporo end, with a separate side platform for crew use adjacent to the public platform; the resulting concourse is unusually wide for the station's traffic volume. Platform-edge screen doors began operation on 2008-09-30. The station has two side platforms and four ticket gates leading to four entrances along Nangō-dōri.

Notes
Empty-stock movements between the station and the East Rolling Stock Base run unmanned under an automatic vehicle-control (AVC) system, and a roughly 1.3 km service tunnel for staff is long enough that workers travel through it by bicycle.
