History
Ōyachi Station (station number T17) is on the Sapporo Municipal Subway Tōzai Line in Atsubetsu-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido. It opened on 21 March 1982 with the Tōzai Line's eastern extension from Shiroishi to Shin-Sapporo. The Atsubetsu-ku article records that Atsubetsu is the smallest of Sapporo's ten wards by area, that the Tōzai Line's reach was extended to Shin-Sapporo in 1982 — the same year the Ōyachi bus terminal opened — and that what is now Atsubetsu was originally part of Shiroishi-ku when Sapporo became an ordinance-designated city in 1972, before splitting off as a separate ward in 1989.

Notes
The Atsubetsu-ku article lists the ward's central Tōzai Line stations as Ōyachi, Hibarigaoka and Shin-Sapporo — Ōyachi is the western entry point to a ward originally split off from neighbouring Shiroishi-ku.
