History
Suehirochō tram stop opened on 30 October 1913 as Motoizaka-shita stop and was renamed Suehirochō on 29 October 1943. A renovation was completed and reopened on 27 November 2024. The stop is on the Hakodate City Tram Main Line and uses the station number D21. The 2024 refit added an outbound-side ramp, plus a shelter and wind-shield on the inbound side; the platforms were not widened because the road is narrow. A crossover near Ōmachi tram stop is used by the morning first train terminating here, as well as occasional special and chartered trams.
