History
Koshimizu Station opened on November 20, 1954, in what was then the village of Morita in Nishitsugaru District, serving as an unstaffed stop on the Gonō Line in Aomori Prefecture. With the privatisation of Japan National Railways on April 1, 1987, operations passed to East Japan Railway Company (JR East). The station consists of a single ground-level side platform served by one bi-directional track and has no station building, only a small waiting room. It lies 111.0 kilometres from the line's terminus at Higashi-Noshiro and today sits within the city of Tsugaru.
