History
Matsukitai Station is an unstaffed Kōnan Railway Ōwani Line halt in Hirosaki, Aomori Prefecture. Although the station takes its name from the Matsukitai locality, it actually stands in the neighbouring Koguriyama district. It opened on 26 January 1952 with the Hirosaki Electric Railway-built Ōwani Line, and passed to Kōnan Railway when the line was transferred on 1 October 1970. The single side platform, 8.4 kilometres from the southern terminus at Ōwani Station, serves one bi-directional track; there is no station building. The surroundings are agricultural — rice paddies and apple orchards typical of inland Tsugaru.
