History
Gijukukōkōmae Station is an unstaffed Kōnan Railway Ōwani Line halt in the city of Hirosaki, Aomori Prefecture. It opened on 1 November 1987 to serve Tōō Gijuku High School after the school relocated to the area; the station is named directly after the school it was built for. It lies 5.7 kilometres from the southern terminus at Ōwani Station and has a single side platform with a small platform shelter rather than a full station building. Although nominally unstaffed, a member of staff is present during the morning school commute on weekdays, between roughly 7:48 and 8:18, to check tickets.
