History
Dōsen Station opened on 15 June 1945 on the Kamaishi Line in the city of Kamaishi, Iwate Prefecture. Following the privatisation of Japanese National Railways on 1 April 1987, the station was absorbed into the East Japan Railway Company network. It has one side platform serving a single bi-directional track and is unattended. It is located 79.6 kilometres from the line's starting point at Hanamaki Station.
