History
Nagasawa Station opened on 1 November 1915 on the Rikuu East Line in the town of Funagata, Yamagata, 82.8 kilometres from the line's terminus at Kogota. The unstaffed station has a single side platform serving one bidirectional track. It joined East Japan Railway Company (JR East) on 1 April 1987 with the privatisation of Japanese National Railways, and continues to operate as a small rural halt near the local post office.
