History
Ayame-Kōen Station opened on 9 June 2002 on the Yamagata Railway Flower Nagai Line in Nagai, Yamagata. The station was established as a petition station at the request of students and the parent-teacher association of the adjacent Nagai Technical High School. It has a single side platform serving traffic in both directions, with a small waiting-room building. The station takes its name from the nearby Nagai Ayame Park, a noted iris garden.
