Ōizumi Station's catchphrase is "Refreshing Rural City". The station has a single ground-level side platform with a waiting room and is unstaffed; both stairs and a ramp lead to the platform. A station plaza with disability-accessible parking, bicycle parking, and a rotary was built using the FY2005–FY2009 Machizukuri Grant programme, and an additional car park was created on the west side of the station.
