History
Ashinomaki-Onsen-Minami Station opened on 22 December 1932 as Kuwabara Station (桑原駅), on the line then operated by Japanese Government Railways. The station was transferred to the third-sector Aizu Railway on 16 July 1987. It is now served by the Aizu Railway Aizu Line, 17.7 km from the line's starting point at Nishi-Wakamatsu, with a single unstaffed side platform.
