History
Kubiki-Ōno Station opened on 14 November 1934 on the Japanese Government Railways' Ōito Line in Itoigawa, Niigata. The station consists of a single ground-level side platform serving a bi-directional track and has always been a quiet rural stop along the southern reaches of the line. With the privatisation of Japanese National Railways on 1 April 1987, operation passed to JR West. The station remains unstaffed, and in fiscal 2016 it was used by an average of eight passengers a day.
