History
Tōbu World Square Station opened on 22 July 2017 on the Tōbu Kinugawa Line in the city of Nikkō, primarily to serve the adjacent Tōbu World Square theme park, which had operated since April 1993 without a dedicated rail stop. Initial plans for the new station were formally announced on 25 November 2016. The station sits between Kosagoe and Kinugawa-Onsen, 10.6 km from the Kinugawa Line's starting point at Shimo-Imaichi, and offers direct services to both Asakusa and Shinjuku in Tokyo. The platform layout is a single side platform serving a bidirectional track.
