History

Hayatsukikazumi Station is on the Toyama Chihō Railway Main Line in Namerikawa, Toyama Prefecture, 24.4 km from the line's origin at Dentetsu-Toyama. It opened on 23 March 1950 — the same day the nearby Hayatsuki Station was renamed Etchū-Nakamura. Signal modernisation work was completed in December 1960, and the station was made unattended on 25 July 1989. Its wooden station building, dating from opening, survives and is the only Toyama Chihō Railway station along this stretch served by two opposed ground-level side platforms.

Notes

When the station building's name plate was recently repainted, the original pre-war character form "驛" was deliberately preserved rather than replaced with the modern "駅".
