Dai-ichi Inn Shin-Minato Crossbay-mae Station

第一イン新湊クロスベイ前

History

Dai-ichi Inn Shin-Minato Crossbay-mae Station is a Manyosen Shin-Minato-kō Line stop in Nishi-Shin-Minato, Imizu, Toyama. The site descends from the Etchū Railway's Nishi-Shin-Minato Station, opened 9 November 1932, and from a separate Chūgakkō-mae Station opened nearby on 25 December 1933 — the two stops effectively combined and the name was changed to Nishi-Shin-Minato in June 1949. Successive corporate changes passed it to Toyama Chihō Railway (1943), Kaetsunō Railway (5 April 1966 on the Shin-Minato-kō Line) and Manyosen (1 April 2002). The stop took its earlier name back in 2016 after a Shin-Minato city-office–related rename, and on 1 September 2023 was renamed to its present form following a naming-rights deal with the Dai-ichi Inn Shin-Minato hotel.

Notes

The "Dai-ichi Inn Shin-Minato" half of the station's name is a naming-rights buy reported by Kitanihon Broadcasting; the rest is a reference to the Crossbay Shin-Minato community facility that opened in 2020 on the former Shin-Minato city-office site next to the stop.
