History

Yomase Station opened on 28 April 1927 on what is now the Nagano Electric Railway Nagano Line, in the town of Yamanouchi, Nagano Prefecture. The station became unstaffed on 15 May 1972, and on 13 February 2011 it was removed from the list of stops served by the line's B-class limited express trains. The ground-level station has a single side platform serving one bi-directional track and is no longer fitted with a ticket vending machine, only a simple waiting room. It is located 30.4 kilometres from the terminus of the line at Nagano Station and is operated by Nagano Electric Railway.
