History
Shikino-Chūgakkō-mae Station is a Manyosen Takaoka Kidō Line tram stop straddling Awara-machi and Hirokōji in Takaoka, Toyama. It opened on 10 April 1948 as Takaoka Shichō-mae Station of Toyama Chihō Railway, passed to Kaetsunō Railway on 1 April 1959, and passed to Manyosen on 1 April 2002. From 1 November 2005 it carried the byname Takaoka City Hall-mae. From 3 September 2017 (the birthday of Doraemon) the down-line platform was rebuilt as the "Doraemon Tram Stop" with character decorations marking the way to the Fujiko F. Fujio Gallery inside the Takaoka Art Museum; the up platform was given the same treatment on 13 March 2018.
