History
Daiyamukō Station opened on 2 January 1917 in what is now the city of Nikkō, Tochigi Prefecture, as Daiyamukō-Imaichi Station on a Tōbu Railway line. It was renamed Daiyamukō in 1919, closed in November 1927, and reopened on 1 March 1931, eventually settling on the Tōbu Kinugawa Line and 0.8 km from the line's starting point at Shimo-Imaichi. The station was destaffed from 1 September 1983, and station numbering was introduced across Tōbu lines on 17 March 2012, when Daiyamukō became TN-51. In 2017 the platforms received national protection as Registered Tangible Cultural Properties.

Notes
The wooden platforms at Daiyamukō were designated Registered Tangible Cultural Properties of Japan in 2017 — a rare distinction for a small destaffed commuter halt.
