History
Hayashi Station opened on 19 November 1956 as a passenger-only unstaffed station on the Jōhana Line. It passed to JR West at privatisation on 1 April 1987. The original waiting room was rebuilt in late 2019 due to age, and ICOCA became available on 14 March 2026.
