History

Grand Plaza-mae Station (C25) is a Toyama Chihō Railway Toyama-tramway stop in Nishichō, Toyama City, on a shared-roadway right-of-way. It opened on 23 December 2009 with the Toyama Toshin Loop Line as a single side platform with a shelter and barrier-free access. Although the stop physically stands in front of the Sōgawa Ferio commercial building, its name comes from the city-owned all-weather Grand Plaza adjoining it.

Notes

When Grand Plaza-mae opened with the Toshin Loop Line in 2009 it was the loop's transfer point to Nishichō; passengers had to alight, pay and walk to Nishichō. The transfer role was moved to Nakamachi (Nishichō-Kita) when that stop opened in 2013.
