History
Ōizumi Station opened on 26 September 1952 on the Toyama Chihō Railway Fujikoshi Line, which links Inarimachi with Minami-Toyama; the stop sits 2.2 kilometres from the line's starting point in the city of Toyama, Toyama Prefecture. A replacement station building was completed on 28 February 1966. The station was later destaffed on 1 September 1989, and today operates with a single ground-level side platform serving one bi-directional track. It remains an unattended local stop on the privately operated suburban network connecting central Toyama with the southern districts of the city.
