Asanamachi Station opened on 5 April 1958 on what is now the Toyama Chihō Railway Kamidaki Line in the city of Toyama. The stop sits 1.3 kilometres from the start of the Kamidaki Line at Minami-Toyama. It has a single ground-level side platform serving one bi-directional track, no station building or ticket gate, and is unattended.
