History

Yagura Station opened on 10 November 1959 on the Agatsuma Line, perched on a mountain slope above the village of Higashiagatsuma in Gunma Prefecture. The station has remained unmanned since opening and was absorbed into the JR East network at the privatisation of Japanese National Railways on 1 April 1987.
