History
Konaka Station opened on 31 December 1912 on what is now the Watarase Keikoku Line in Midori, Gunma Prefecture, 24.4 km from the line's terminus at Kiryū. It is now operated by the third-sector Watarase Keikoku Railway, which took over the former JR East Ashio Line in 1989. The unstaffed station consists of a single side platform with only a shelter rather than a full station building, and stands beside National Route 122 in the upper Watarase Valley.
