History
Sodani Station opened on 22 June 1915 on what is today the Hokuriku Railroad Ishikawa Line, the 13.8 km private route between Nomachi in Kanazawa and Tsurugi in Hakusan, Ishikawa Prefecture. The station sits 9.3 km from the Nomachi end of the line and is unstaffed, with a single side platform serving a single bi-directional track. The limited-stop "Junkyū A" services formerly used to pass through without stopping. The line is operated by the private railway operator Hokuriku Railroad (Hokutetsu), and station numbering identifies Sodani as I12.
