History
Kamiizumi Station is an unstaffed single-island-platform station on the Jōmō Electric Railway Jōmō Line in Kamiizumi-machi, Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture, 3.2 km from the terminus at Chūō-Maebashi. It opened on 10 November 1928. River-improvement work forced the platform about 5 m south on 8 September 1965, and the company-run "Take-no-Hana" pool that had stood alongside the station was demolished at the same time. The station was made unstaffed on 1 July 1983. There is no station building; the platform has a single public telephone and a track-maintenance section sits beside the entrance.
