History

Nakashioda Station opened on 17 June 1921 as Goka Station (五加駅) on what is now the Bessho Line of the Ueda Electric Railway, situated in present-day Ueda, Nagano. It was renamed to its current name on 3 March 1929. The station consists of a single side platform serving one bidirectional track and is unstaffed. Station numbering was introduced across the Bessho Line in August 2016, when Nakashioda was assigned the code BE10. In fiscal 2015 it averaged 20 boarding passengers per day.
