History
Shiodamachi Station opened on 17 June 1921 as Kamihongō Station (上本郷駅) on what is now the Bessho Line of the Ueda Electric Railway, in present-day Ueda, Nagano. The station took its current name in 1965. It consists of a single ground-level side platform serving one bidirectional track and is unstaffed. Station numbering was introduced across the Bessho Line in August 2016, when Shiodamachi was assigned the code BE11. In fiscal 2015 average daily boardings were 157.
