History
Higashi-Tomioka Station opened on 1 April 1990 on the Jōshin Line, 19.3 kilometres from the line's terminus at Takasaki, in the city of Tomioka, Gunma Prefecture. The stop consists of a single side platform serving traffic in both directions. Tomioka General Hospital and National Route 254 are immediately nearby.
