Yoshii Station serves the city of Takasaki in Gunma Prefecture and is operated by Jōshin Dentetsu on its Jōshin Line, 11.7 kilometres from the Takasaki terminus. It opened on 5 May 1897 as part of the early Jōshin Line extension and has remained in continuous service since then. The station has a single island platform, with passengers crossing a level crossing to reach the station building. It is unattended. The surrounding area lies along National Route 254 and includes Yoshii Post Office and the small Yoshii Onsen hot-spring complex.
