History

Sakurazawa Station opened on 1 April 1989 on Chichibu Railway's Chichibu Main Line at Sakurazawa in the town of Yorii, Ōsato District, Saitama Prefecture. The station was newly built to accompany the relocation of Yorii Junior High School to the area after a school amalgamation, and from the start much of its ridership has been students travelling to nearby schools. The single island platform serves two tracks, and on 12 March 2022 it began accepting PASMO via simple readers and was made unstaffed on the same date.

Notes

The station was built to serve the newly relocated Yorii Junior High School and is largely used by students bound for nearby schools.
