History
Nogami Station opened on 14 September 1911 as Hon-Nogami Station on the Chichibu Main Line, taking its current name on 16 December 1929. Operated by the private Chichibu Railway, it lies 44.7 km from the line's eastern terminus at Hanyū, in the town of Nagatoro, Saitama Prefecture. From 1989 to 2007 it was the western turnaround point for Seibu Railway through-services from Tokyo, before that role passed first to Yorii and then to Nagatoro. PASMO IC card acceptance began on 12 March 2022, on which date the station was simultaneously destaffed. The station retains its wooden building and consists of one side platform plus one island platform, totalling three tracks; track 3 is a bidirectional freight road.

From 1989 the station served as the through-running terminus for Seibu Railway services from Tokyo, even though the trains were marketed as bound for the more famous Nagatoro — a destination plate of "Nagatoro / Nogami" was used to soften the discrepancy.
