History
Domeki Station opened on 11 February 1914 on the Kyoto Electric Light Company's Echizen Electric Railway, the line that later became Keifuku Electric Railway's Echizen Main Line. Following the head-on collision on the Echizen Main Line on 25 June 2001 the entire line was suspended. After the facilities passed to Echizen Railway, services resumed on 20 July 2003 and the station continued operating as part of the Katsuyama Eiheiji Line, now numbered E15. The unstaffed station consists of two opposed side platforms connected by a level crossing and serves a small cluster of houses in Eiheiji.
