History

Kami-Nagatoro Station opened in late December 1915 as Kunikami Station on the Chichibu Railway; the Japanese article gives 1 January 1916. The station was renamed Kami-Nagatoro on 15 May 1928. It is a turnaround for some services; until 1992 the privately-run Nagatoro limited express from the Tobu Tojo Line, and a JNR through service from Ueno via the Takasaki Line, both terminated here. PASMO IC card acceptance began on 12 March 2022, with the station destaffed on the same day. The current layout includes one side platform and one island platform with a wooden station building still in use.

Notes

Because the third track lies on a curve, the operator's two-door commuter cars from the Seibu line use the opposite platform; Chichibu Railway commuter cars only open two doors per car on track 3.
