History
Yumemino Station opened on 12 March 2011 in the city of Toride, Ibaraki Prefecture, on the Kantō Railway Jōsō Line, 4.2 km from the Toride terminus. It is the newest station Kantō Railway has opened. The previous day, 11 March 2011, the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami struck; opening events were cancelled, and the first train from the new station could not run until services between Toride and Mitsukaidō resumed in the evening. The station became fully unstaffed on 16 February 2013. The layout consists of one island platform connected to the station building by an underpass, with the building on the northern side standing on retaining walls and an effective platform length sized for four-car trains rather than the five used at other Jōsō Line stations.

Notes
The station opened on 12 March 2011, the day after the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami; all opening events were cancelled and the very first scheduled service from the station could not run until late afternoon, once the Toride-Mitsukaidō section had resumed operation.
