History
Tokiwadaira Station opened on 21 April 1955 on the Shin-Keisei Electric Railway, then named Kanegasaku Station (金ヶ作駅), in what is today the city of Matsudo, Chiba. It was renamed Tokiwadaira on 1 February 1960. The station consists of a single island platform with an elevated station building, and serves a long-established residential community on the Tokiwa-Daira housing estate. On 1 April 2025 Keisei Electric Railway absorbed Shin-Keisei Railway, and the station was placed under Keisei management as part of the new Keisei Matsudo Line; the station was renumbered KS83 on the same date. The station name is officially 常盤平, though the variant 常磐平 is frequently miswritten.

Notes
Although officially written 常盤平, the station's name is frequently miswritten as 常磐平 — a near-identical kanji that has misled signage and printed media throughout the station's history.
