History
Kamihongō Station opened on 21 April 1955 as part of the Shin-Keisei Electric Railway in the city of Matsudo, Chiba Prefecture. An elevated station building with a north exit was placed into service on 5 July 1989. Following the absorption of Shin-Keisei into Keisei Electric Railway on 1 April 2025, the station was rebranded as part of the Keisei Matsudo Line, and its station number changed from SL02 to KS87. The station sits 1.7 km from the western terminus at Matsudo, with one island platform serving two tracks.
