History

Komuro Station opened on 8 March 1979 in the city of Funabashi, Chiba Prefecture, on the Hokusō Line, operated by the third-sector Hokusō Railway. The station sits 19.8 km from the line's terminus at Keisei-Takasago and serves the Chiba New Town development. The layout consists of one ground-level island platform and one side platform serving three tracks, with the station building constructed above. Station numbering was introduced on 17 July 2010, with Komuro designated HS11.
