History

Misaki Station opened on 8 January 1949 on the Shin-Keisei Electric Railway in the city of Funabashi, Chiba Prefecture. It has two opposed side platforms beneath an elevated station building, which was completed in 1987. The station lies 17.1 kilometres from the Matsudo terminus of what is today the Keisei Matsudo Line. As at fiscal 2018 it handled an average of 14,071 passengers daily. Following the 1 April 2025 absorption of Shin-Keisei into Keisei Electric Railway, the station and the surrounding line were rebranded as part of the Keisei Matsudo Line.

Notes

Despite its English-romanisation "Misaki", the station has nothing to do with the seaside cape (also written 三崎) of the same reading — the kanji 三咲 is a uniquely local toponym whose third character means "to bloom", reflecting the agricultural settlement that gave the area its name.
