History
Kumanomae Station is on the boundary of Arakawa and Adachi wards in Tokyo, operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation (Toei) and serving as the interchange between the Nippori-Toneri Liner and the Tokyo Sakura Tram (Toden Arakawa Line). The Toden tram stop opened on 1 April 1913 as part of the Arakawa Line, and the elevated Nippori-Toneri Liner station — laid out with a single island platform serving two tracks — opened on 30 March 2008 alongside the new automated guideway transit line. Station numbering was introduced in November 2017, giving Kumanomae NT04 on the Liner and SA09 on the tram.
