History
Kamikitadai Station opened on 27 November 1998 as the northern terminus of the Tama Toshi Monorail Line, in the city of Higashiyamato, Tokyo. The elevated station has two opposed side platforms serving the two-track layout, and station numbering across the line on 30 June 2016 assigned it the code TT19. Built at the head of a 16.0 km route, it sits above Tokyo Metropolitan Route 43 (Imokubo-Kaidō) near the intersection with Route 5 (Shin-Ōme-Kaidō). The station's structure was designed to accommodate a planned extension toward Hakonegasaki Station on the JR Hachikō Line, and on 23 January 2020 the operator formally announced the start of construction works for that extension.
