History
Akado-shōgakkōmae Station opened on 30 March 2008 with the inauguration of the Nippori-Toneri Liner, a rubber-tyred automated guideway transit system operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation (Toei). The elevated stop sits in the Higashi-Ogu district of Arakawa ward, with a single island platform serving two tracks. Its name references the adjacent Akado Elementary School, used during planning as the provisional title for the site. Station numbering reached the Nippori-Toneri Liner in November 2017, designating Akado-shōgakkōmae as NT03. A short walk away, the Toden Arakawa Line (Tokyo Sakura Tram) Higashi-Ogu-sanchōme stop offers a streetcar interchange.
