History

Keisei-Tateishi Station opened on 3 November 1912 as Tateishi on the Keisei Oshiage Line. In 1923 the share-the-road tramway between Yotsugi and Tateishi was upgraded to a dedicated alignment and the station was relocated to its present site, prompting a land-readjustment programme around the new building. It took its current name on 18 November 1931 and the station building was rebuilt on 2 October 1968. The 17 July 2010 timetable revision abolished express services on the line, leaving only locals at this stop. Elevation works began in 2016, and on 28 October 2023 the bridge-style station building was closed in favour of temporary above- and below-grade ticket gates segregated by direction of travel. The station is at 4-chōme Tateishi, Katsushika, Tokyo, with the station number KS49.

Notes

Among Keisei Oshiage Line stops that are not shared with another operator and serve only local trains, Keisei Tateishi has the highest daily ridership on the line.
