History
Shim-Mikawashima Station opened on 19 December 1931 on the Keisei Main Line in what is today Nishi-Nippori 6-chōme in Arakawa ward. The elevated single island platform was extended in 1971, which is why part of it now overhangs Meiji-dōri. The ticket gate and concourse sit on the same level as the street entrances, but lift access between gate and platform was added later. Only all-stations services stop here; rapid and limited-express trains pass through. Keisei-wide station numbering on 17 June 2010 assigned this stop the code KS03.
