History
Musashi-Itsukaichi Station opened on 21 April 1925 as Itsukaichi Station in what is now the city of Akiruno, Tokyo. It was renamed Musashi-Itsukaichi Station only weeks later, on 1 June 1925, to distinguish it from same-named stations elsewhere. With the 1 April 1987 privatisation of Japanese National Railways, the station came under JR East. It is the terminus of the Itsukaichi Line, lying 11.1 km from the line's starting point at Haijima Station. The station has one island platform serving two elevated bi-directional tracks and is staffed; the station building houses a convenience store and has north and south exits.

Notes
The "Musashi" prefix was tacked on barely six weeks after opening, after the original short name caused confusion with several similarly named stations elsewhere.
