History

Gakushūinshita Station (SA 28) is a Tokyo Toden Arakawa Line stop in Takada 2-chōme, Toshima, Tokyo — the southernmost station in Toshima Ward. It opened on 25 December 1928 when the Ōji Electric Tramway extended its line from Kishibojin-mae to Omokagebashi. Two opposed side platforms; the stop is positioned on Meiji-dōri, and the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line runs in a tunnel directly beneath the Toden tracks between Kishibojin-mae and this stop — although the Fukutoshin Line has no platform here.

Notes

Between the previous Kishibojin-mae stop and Gakushūinshita, the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line runs in a tunnel directly underneath the Arakawa Line tracks — but there is no Fukutoshin platform under Gakushūinshita itself, only under Kishibojin-mae.
